AmRRON is a nationwide emergency communications network for preppers and patriots and we encourage all SEEN members to apply for membership in AmRRON and to get a copy of the AmRRON Communications S. O. I. (Signals Operating Instructions). It is the standard for HF communications.
AmRRON offers both free and paid memberships. Click the image on the left for information on becoming a member.

Regular local VHF and UHF net participation
HF net participation
Participation in exercises, drills, and special events that 'test' your skills and equipment configurations both grid up and grid down
While SEEN uses local events for training we encourage participation in the yearly TREX event sponsored by AmRRON.
This event will test your HF digital skills to their limits.
One of the fun ways to train is to work the "Field Day" exercises in both summer and winter. Operators get valuable experience during these exercises if an SHTF happens they will have already learned a lot about their equipment.
You cannot put a price tag on putting your equipment, your skills, and your stamina to the test. The time to work the "bugs" out is before there is an RWE. Knowledge gained from these exercises is analyzed carefully to determine what worked, what didn't work, what broke, or what could we do better next time.
These exercises are skill builders. Not only that but working alongside other operators is invaluable when building your communications team.
